An action against the local officials and the owner of the fair price shop, which gives out government subsidised food items to the poor, who cannot afford it, has been demanded by the district administrator.

Dharmendra was a local dancer who used to perform at rural functions. He did not have an Aadhar Card which is the basic requirement for free and subsidised ration to people living below the poverty line. Dharmendra was not able to get food at the fair price shop because of the absence of below poverty line (BPL) and ration cards.
