A terrorist was killed during an encounter between the security forces and militants, in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla region.
On the 21st of June, Tuesday, the Jammu and Kashmir Police confirmed that a gunfight broke out between the security forces and the militants. Notably, the security forces launched a search operation in the area, based on an intelligence input about the presence of militants in Sopore and Baramulla.
The Kashmir Zone Police took to Twitter and said, “Sopore Encounter Update: 01 terrorist killed. #Operation in progress. Further details shall follow.”
Furthermore, the encounter is still underway in Baramulla, whereas, a separate encounter broke out in South Kashmir’s Tujjan region of Pulwama district.
