In Andhra Pradesh, two police officials, CISF Sub Inspector (SI) and a constable committed suicide at the Satish Dhawan Space Center (SHAR) in Sriharikota, Tirupati.
According to sources, CISF SI Vikas Singh (33) committed suicide by shooting himself with his gun at SHAR on Monday night, the 16th of January. In another incident, a constable Chintamani (29) also ended his life on the night of the 15th of January, Sunday.
The two suicide that occurred in a span of 24 hours created suspicion and came to light on Tuesday, the 17th of January. It is to be noted, SI Vikas Singh ended his life at SHAR, whereas Constable Chintamani hanged himself at his residence near Zeropoint Radar Center in SHAR.
CISF Inspector Chinnakannan, who received information about Chintamani’s suicide, filed a complaint with the Sriharikota police. In addition, SI Manoj Kumar inspected the scene and informed the relatives of the deceased.
The body of both police officials have been shifted to Sullurpet government hospital for postmortem and a case was registered.
The reasons for the suicide of both officials are yet to be known and created suspicion.
