Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government has undertaken a significant reshuffle of IAS officers across various districts in the state. The changes, aimed at optimizing administrative efficiency, include several key appointments and transfers.
S Nagalakshmi, who served as the Collector of Vizianagaram district, has been transferred and appointed as the new Collector of Guntur district. Meanwhile, M. Venugopal Reddy has been directed to report to the General Administration Department for his next assignment.
Dr. A. Mallikarjuna, the former Collector of Visakhapatnam District, has also been transferred and will report to the General Administration Department. The Joint Collector and Additional District Magistrate of Visakhapatnam will take over as the full additional charge as the new Collector of Visakhapatnam.
A S Dinesh Kumar, previously the Collector of Prakasam district, has been posted as the Collector of Alluri Sitaramaraju district. Likewise, Sagili Shan Mohan has been appointed as the Collector of Kakinada district.
Other transfers include Vetriselvi. K, who moves from Director of Women Development & Child Welfare to become the new Collector of Eluru District, and P. Prasanthi, who shifts from Director of Agriculture Marketing to the Collector of East Godavari District.
Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and C Naga Rani have also been reassigned as Collectors of Vizianagaram and West Godavari Districts, respectively.
These changes aim to streamline administrative functions and enhance governance across Andhra Pradesh.
