In a major relief for the political parties in Andhra Pradesh, the State High Court issued an order and restricted Government Order (GO) 1.
Notably, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government in Andhra Pradesh, implemented the GO 1, which restricted political parties from holding public meetings or rallies in the State.
The Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy approved order was implemented after thousands of people were injured and eight people died during a road show, organized by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP.) However, the TDP and other opposition parties opposed the GO 1, and filed a petition against it in the Andhra Pradesh High Court.
Finally, in a relief, the Andhra Pradesh High Court issued an order and dismissed the the GO No. 1
