Andhra Pradesh reported another big spike in the cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
In the last 24 hours, the State recorded 1,178 new ases of the Coronavirus infection.
Till the 7th of July, Andhra Pradesh reported a total of 21,197 cases with 252 death cases.
Out of the total, 11,200 are active cases and 9,745 cured/discharged cases.
In the last 24 hours, the Andhra Pradesh Medical department conducted a total of 20,109 sample tests.
With the additional 20,109 tests, Andhra Pradesh crossed 1 million tests in the State till the 6th of July.
The State conducted a total of 10,50,090 sample tests for the deadly virus.
Meanwhile, 13 new deaths were reported from Kurnool district (4,) followed by Anantapur (3,) West Godavari (1,) Chittoor (2,) Prakasam (1) and Visakhapatnam district (2.)
Out of 1,178 new cases, highest number of positive cases reported in Guntur (238,) East Godavari district with 112 cases, Kurnool with 84 cases, Srikakulam (104,) Visakhapatnam (123,) Anantapur (87,) Chittoor (66,) Krishna (100,) Kadapa (28,) Nellore (39,) West Godavari (49,) Prakasam (29) and Vizianagaram district (30.)
Remaining 23 cases were from different states (22) and countries (1.)
The recovery rate of Andhra Pradesh from the illness is also better at 45.97 %.
Whereas, the average growth rate of the Novel Coronavirus in the State is 6% and mortality rate is 1.19%.
