The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) led Andhra Pradesh Government would soon lay the foundation stone for Bhogapuram Airport in the Telugu State.

On the 14th of December, Wednesday, Mr. Y.V. Subba Reddy, the Chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Chairman, said that Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of A.P., would lay the foundation stone.  However, the date of the event when the State CM would lay the foundation stone is yet to be decided.

Speaking about the Bhogapuram International Airport, the Andhra Pradesh Government approved the airport and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in 2020 June.  However, due to several reasons, the foundation stone laying was postponed.  As of now, the Andhra Pradesh Government has given the contract to construct the international airport with an anticipated investment of 23 billion rupees to the Grandhi Mallikarjuna Rao (GMR) Group.  Furthermore, the airport would be spread over 2,700 acres of land, which has been acquired recently, after completing all the formalities.

Besides, the Bhogapuram International Airport, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would also lay the foundation stone for the Adani Data Center in the region.

The special announcement regarding the airport was made during the Bhoomi puja for the construction of the YSRCP’s new office at Enda Law College Road, Panorama Hills.  On Wednesday, Mr. Y.V. Subba Reddy said that call centres would be set up in the party offices soon to provide the necessary services to the workers across the State.

The YSRCP ministers, Members of the Legislative Council (MLCs) like Mr. Vamsi Krishna Srinivas, Mr. Varudu Kalyani, Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) Mr. Muttamshetty Srinivasa Rao, Mr. Tippala Nagireddy, Mr. Vasupalli Ganeshkumar, Mr. Annam Reddy Adeepraj and other leaders attended the event on Wednesday.
