On the night of the 11th of November, many parts of Nellore witnessed heavy to moderate rain.
Areas like Muthukur, Dagadarthi, Nellore, Podalakur, Kovur, Allur, Vinjamuru, Kodavaluru, Vidavaluru, Bogole, Kavali and other Mandals received more than 100 mm rainfall.
Brahmadevam in Muthukur received around 180 mm up till 6:00 A.M., on the 12th of November.
Other regions like Dagadarthi, Nellore city, Thatiparthi in Podalakur Mandal received 160 mm rainfall. Areas in Prakasam district such as Gudluru, Ulavapadu, Kandukur and Singarayakonda, also received heavy rainfall.
As per the weather forecast and Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Andhra Pradesh is likely to witness moderate to heavy rainfall till Friday, the 13th of November.
The rainfall in Andhra Pradesh is due to a trough located at the West Central Bay of Bengal and runs from the North Andhra Pradesh coast to Sri Lanka.
People living in low lying areas are asked to be careful and fishermen of coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh are asked not to venture out near coastal areas.
