On the 18th of March, nearly 11 Municipal Corporators took the oath as mayors and deputy mayors in Andhra Pradesh.
The newly elected corporators of 75 municipalities and 11 corporations voted for the mayor and deputy mayor candidate. The Municipal elections for corporations and municipalities were held on the 10th of March and the results were announced on the 14th of March.
Considering the massive victory of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) majority of mayors and deputy mayors would be of the ruling YSRCP. According to the sources, corporations would elect one mayor and deputy mayors for 11 corporations.
Below is the list of mayors and deputy mayors of eleven Corporations
Vizianagaram Municipal Corporation: Vempadapu Vijaya Lakshmi as Mayor and Muchu Naga Lakshmi and Kolagatla Shravani were announced as Deputy mayors.
Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporations: Golagani Hari Venkata Kumari was appointed as the GVMC Mayor and Giyani Sridhar as the Deputy Mayor.
Vijayawada Municipal Corporation: Bhamana Bhagya Lakshmi was appointed as the Mayor of Vijayawada and Bellam Durga as the Deputy Mayor.
Machilipatnam Municipal Corporation: Moka Venkateswaramma was appointed as the Mayor and Lanka Suri Babu and Tantepudi Kavitha were elected as Deputy mayors
Guntur Municipal Corporations: Manohar Naidu appointed as the Guntur Mayor and Banana Balavajra Babu as the Deputy Mayor.
Ongole Municipal Corporation: Gangada Sujatha was appointed as the Mayor and Vemur Suryanarayana as the Deputy Mayor.
Tirupati Municipal Corporation: Dr. R Sirisha was appointed as the Mayor and M. Narayana as the Deputy Mayor.
Chittoor Municipal Corporation: Amuda Sunil was appointed as the Mayor and Mr.Chandrasekhar as the Deputy Mayor.
Anantapur Municipal Corporation: Wasim Saleem as the Mayor and Vasanthi Sahitya as the Deputy Mayor.
Kadapa Municipal Corporation: Kothamaddi Suresh Babu appointed as the Mayor.
Kurnool Municipal Corporation: B.Y. Ramaiah was appointed as the Mayor and S. Renuka as the Deputy Mayor.
Elections to Eluru Corporation were held but the results are yet to be announced, hence the Mayoral elections in Eluru is pending.
The dates for the result declaration of Eluru Municipal Corporation would be revealed as per the orders of the Andhra Pradesh High Court (HC.)
