N.Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, on the 3rd of April, addressed a public rally at Duttalur in Udayagiri constituency, Andhra Pradesh.

The public rally was a part of Naidu’s campaign in the State, ahead of the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh.

During the public rally, Mr. Naidu criticised the Jagan Mohan Reddy led Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) and the Modi Government in relation to their schemes.

Mr. Modi asked the public what benefits they received after Prime Minister Narendra Modi imposed demonetization and the Goods and Service Tax (GST.)

He further took a jibe at Jagan Mohan Reddy for the latter’s close relationship with the K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR,) the Chief Minister of Telangana and the President of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS.)

Commenting sarcastically about the bond between KCR and Jagan Mohan, Mr. Naidu asked Jagan to approach KCR and get his approval for the SCS in AP.

Mr. Naidu said, if the KCR led TRS really has no issues with the granting of the SCS to AP, then they should add the same thing to their manifesto for the Telangana Lok Sabha elections.

TDP President Chandrababu Naidu also accused Jagan of being disloyal to the State and reporting every single detail about the campaigns in the State to KCR.

Both the competitors, the YSRCP and the TDP, intensified their election campaigns in the State, ahead of the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.

Andhra Pradesh will contest a total of 175 seats and 25 seats in the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, scheduled on the 11th of April.

The major parties contesting the AP Assembly and Lok Sabha elections are the TDP, the YSRCP and the JanaSena Party.

The results of the AP Assembly and Lok Sabha elections will be announced on the 23rd of May 2019.
