Tollywood actor Nithiin, on the 8th of April, donated a sum of Rs. 25 lakhs to the JanaSena Party, ahead of the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh (AP.)
N. Sudhakar Reddy, a Tollywood film producer, on behalf of Nithiin, his son, held a meeting with Pawan Kalyan, the President of the JanaSena Party, and gave him a cheque of Rs. 25 lakhs.
Nithiin, who is a huge fan of Pawan Kalyan, wanted to contribute to the election campaigns of the JanaSena Party.
The meeting between Mr. Kalyan and Mr. Reddy was held on the evening of the 8th of April, in Bhimavaram, West Godavari, Andhra Pradesh.
During the meeting, Sudhakar Reddy also asked about the health of Pawan Kalyan, as Mr. Kalyan was ill since the past few days.
According to a doctor, Mr. Kalyan was suffering from dehydration and was advised to take a break from the election campaigns.
However, soon after taking a break, Mr. Kalyan again kickstarted the campaigns ahead of the AP Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
Andhra Pradesh will contest a total of 175 seats and 25 seats in the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections respectively. The elections in the State are scheduled on the 11th of April.
The major parties contesting the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha elections are the JanaSena Party, the YSRCP and the TDP.
The results of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha elections will be declared on the 23rd of May 2019.
