The Andhra Pradesh (AP) Budget session, on the 17th of July, witnessed debates and heated arguments between the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) and the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders.
During the ongoing session, Tammineni Sitaram, the Speaker of the AP Assembly, yelled at the TDP members due to their intimidating behaviour.
The Speaker asked the Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) of the TDP if he should run the House according to them.
The argument started when Anil Kumar Yadav, the Irrigation Minister of AP and a member of the YSRCP, alleged N. Chandrababu Naidu, the President of the TDP, of exploiting the State.
During a debate regarding the irrigation projects in the State, Anil Kumar Yadav said, a lot of corruption was there in the Irrigation Department during the TDP’s rule.
Anil proved his allegations with facts and figures and said, the TDP shared the details of the projects across the State and raised the rates by Rs. 16,000 crores. He also said, Chandrababu Naidu has no intention of completing the projects, except laying their foundation stones.
After the discussion about irrigation projects, an argument started over seat allocation, as the TDP President demanded special seats for the deputy leaders in the Assembly.
Responding to the request, the YSRCP members said, as per the rules, the seat has already been allocated to the Atchannaidu, a deputy leader of the TDP.
However, Tammineni Sitaram assured the TDP members he will examine the issue and allot the seat to the members.
The AP Budget session entered its 5th day on the 17th of July. The AP Budget session started on the 11th of July and will continue till the 30th of July.
