The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) the ruling Government of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) on the 18th of July, took some key decisions during the AP Budget session.

The Andhra Pradesh Budget session started from the 11th of July and will continue till the 30th of July.

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of AP, on the 18th of July, before the Assembly session, conducted a meeting and drafted several bills and took decisions for the welfare of the citizens of AP.

During the Assembly session, the Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) discussed various issues and approved the bills drafted and presented by the YSRCP Cabinet Ministers.

During the Assembly session, it was also suggested, a judicial commission be set up and 50 % of the nominated posts be given to those belonging to Scheduled Castes (SCs,) Scheduled Tribes (STs) and Backward Classes (BCs.)

Another key discussion during the Assembly session was regarding the Tenant Farmer’s Bill, which includes the ownership of the farmers’ rights.

Apart from these, the Cabinet also approved approximately 1,33,867 jobs for the people in Andhra Pradesh.

The Cabinet also passed a legislation for land records and discussed setting up 11,114 village secretariats in rural areas and 3,786 ward secretaries in urban areas.

The Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led YSRCP also decided to pay an amount of Rs. 417 crores from the State’s fund for loans and supply 200 units of electricity to SC and ST households.

Last but not the least, the Cabinet also increased the salary of the Anganwadi workers in the State.

The MLAs, MPs and Cabinet Ministers are discussing the matter, following which, the approved schemes and bills will be implemented.

The AP Budget session began at 9:00 A.M., on the 18th of July, at the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
