Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh conducted a review meeting today, the 6th of September.
During the meeting, he asked the concerned officials to start working on road repairs. Jagan Mohan Reddy said, “We have been paying special attention to roads since our Government came as the roads were completely abandoned in the last Government.”
During the meeting with the Road and Building Department officials, Mr. Jagah Mohan Reddy said, the monsoon season brought a good amount of rain and now, they should focus on repairing roads to avoid water logging and other issues. He said, under the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government, there should not be any complaints of bad roads and potholes.
The YSRCP President said, “Roads were also damaged due to heavy rains and the government has paid special attention to repairing the roads.”
Although today’s meeting also discussed ports and airports, the main focus was roads of Andhra Pradesh.
The Andhra Pradesh CM said the YSRCP Government has taken several steps in mobilising resources for the maintenance of roads and highways.
The State Chief Minister Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy set next monsoon as the deadline to fix roads of Andhra Pradesh. The work for the same is expected to begin from October, after the rainy season this year.
