AP CM Reviews Health Department Growth Under Nadu Nedu Program, Directs Officials To Improve Facility

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, on the 3rd of March, conducted a review meeting regarding the health system in Andhra Pradesh.

In today’s meeting, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy directed the authorities to have corporate style services in government hospitals and to improve the facilities. Under the Nadu Nedu programme initiated by the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) the State Government aims to provide good facilities and a developed environment.

During the meeting, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said his Government is aiming to make the best medicine, the best management, the best standards available in government hospitals. He said there should be no question of shortage of doctors and staff and functioning would be similar to private hospitals.

The meeting was held at Tadepalli YSRCP camp office and was attended by the Deputy Chief Minister Alla Nani, the A.P., Chief Secretary C.S. Adityanath Das, Chief Secretary of the Medical Health Department Anil Kumar Singhal and others.

During the meeting, CM Jagan Mohan Reddy directed the management of hospitals to be highly efficient and asked to take all the necessary steps for improved management.

In addition, discussion over development programs and new structures in YSR Health Clinics, Primary Health Centres (PHCs,) Community Health Centres (CHCs,) Area Hospitals and Medical Colleges also happened during today’s meeting. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy also said the YSRCP Government initiated the Nadu-Nedu programs in the fields of medicine and education. He directed the authorities to take steps to ensure that the works are completed within the stipulated target. If there are any problems with land acquisition, etc., should be brought to his attention immediately.

CM Jagan also asked to pay special attention to the management of existing hospitals, newly constructed hospitals and teaching hospitals.

Mr. Reddy said, “All the facilities and amenities we want when we go to hospitals should be available to the poor in government hospitals.”

He said, there should be best standards for sanitation, bedsheets, patients’ room, beds, hospital environment, meals provided to patients.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy directed the concerned authority to prepare SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) for the functioning.
