On the 13th of November, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and his wife met Biswa Bhusan Harichandan, the Governor of the State.
According to sources, Mr. Reddy and his wife Y.S. Bharati conveyed Diwali greetings to Mr. Harichandan and his wife.
Later, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy discussed various crucial issues like local body polls, petitions filed by the State Election Commissioner Nimmaggada Ramesh in the High Court and implementation of social welfare schemes.
During the meeting, Mr. Reddy also informed the State Governor about conducting the winter session of the Legislative Assembly.
The Legislative Assembly would be conducted in the last week of November or the first week of December.
However, an official announcement regarding the Winter Assembly Session is yet to be announced.
In addition, Mr. Reddy also submitted a report on the latest political developments in the State to Mr. Harichandan.
The meeting was an informal meeting between the State Governor and the State Chief Minister a day before Diwali. Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy and Y.S. Bharati gifted an idol of Lord Venkateswara to Mr. Harichandan.
The meeting was held at Raj Bhavan.
Diwali would be celebrated in India on the 14th of November.
