Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) approved recruitment in the Health Department.
On the 24th of September, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy approved a total of 14,200 recruitments in primary health care centres, medical colleges and teaching hospitals. The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) released an official statement regarding the same.
According to sources, the decision to approve medical staff recruitments was taken during a review meeting. The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister conducted a review meeting regarding the ongoing Wuhan virus pandemic. He reviewed medical facilities, precautions, progress of vaccination against COVID-19 and other preparations for the possible third wave of the Wuhan virus.
Regarding the 14,200 appointments, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy, asked the concerned officials to commence the recruitment process in October and complete it by the 15th of November. He also instructed the concerned officials to ensure no staff crunch in hospitals and every government hospital should have the best medical services.
The massive recruitment drive is said to increase the State’s exchequer by Rs. 676.83 crores per annum.
However, the additional staff at Government run hospitals would be a step closer to the aim of best and improved medical facilities and enhanced healthcare sector for the people of Andhra Pradesh.
