The Andhra Pradesh (A.P.) Government, on the 17th of April, received one lakh COVID-19 rapid tests kits to conduct speedy medical tests in the State.
The orders were sent from South Korea through a special flight, launched by Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of A.P.
The need to order the huge bulk of the rapid test kits is because these kits could detect the coronavirus result in just 10 minutes. The rapid kits would also confirm whether the victim was affected with coronavirus in the past or not.
All the rapid testing kits would be sent to all the districts of Andhra Pradesh within 4 to 5 days from the 17th of April.
K.S. Jawahar Reddy, the Special Secretary of State Health Department said the State Government is taking all the precautionary measures to control the spread of the virus in A.P.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh has reported as many as 38 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus infection, taking the total number to 572.
