AP Government Bans Firecrackers This Diwali

Similar to Delhi, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka, the Andhra Pradesh Government also banned firecrackers this Diwali.

Due to the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 and pollution, the Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy led Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government decided to completely ban firecrackers.

The State Government said experts warn there is a risk of further increase of COVID-19 cases due to pollution in the State.

In addition, recently the National Green Tribunal also banned the use of fireworks in India.

Tahsildars and concerned government officials were already instructed about the same verbally.

They were asked not to give any permission (even temporary) to the crackers business to this extent.

In addition, the State Government is also likely to issue a notice asking people to celebrate Diwali at home.

Diwali would be celebrated on the 14th of November in India.

Stay tuned for further updates.
