On the 17th of December, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) moved a Privilege Motion against Atchannaidu Kinjarapu, a former minister and a member of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP.)
Gadikota Srikantreddi, the Government of Chief Whip of Andhra Pradesh (AP) introduced the Privilege Motion. Srikanth Reddy requested the Tammineni Sitaram, the Speaker of the AP Assembly, to send the motion to the Privilege Committee.
Srikanth Reddy alleged Atchannaidu of trying to mislead the House with false information on liquor sales and hence he introduced Privilege Motion. The AP Assembly Speaker responded to the Privilege motion and forwarded the matter to the Ethics Committee.
With this, the AP Assembly concluded its Winter Session on the 17th of December.
