The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) led Andhra Pradesh is scheduled to host a grand Iftar dinner on the 27th of April, Wednesday.  Hosted by the State Government, the event would be held at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium in Vijayawada, NTR district.

The event would mark the holy month of Ramadan, which would end with a full moon on the 3rd of May, with the celebration of Eid-Ul-Fitr.

The Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and the Minority Affairs Minister Mr. Amzath Basha inspected all the arrangements at the stadium on the evening of the 26th of April. He was accompanied by Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) Mr. Talashila Raghuram, Mr. M.D. Ruhulla, Mr. Lella Appireddy, MLAs like Mr. Velampally Srinivasa Rao, Mr. Malladi Vishnu, and Collector Mr. S. Dhilli Rao.

Speaking on the occasion, the YSRCP Minister Mr. Amzath Basha asked the Muslim Brotherhood to attend the Iftar dinner on a large scale with the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who would be present as the chief guest.  In addition, MLA Velampally Srinivasa Rao said Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would inaugurate the Musafir Khana, built for Rs. 15 crores in Vijayawada One Town, on Wednesday, ahead of the dinner.

Furthermore, the passes for the Iftar dinner would be given to 8,000 Muslim brothers in the region.  In addition, the State Government announced that the event at the stadium would be open to the public from the gate towards the water tank and for VIPs from the main gate towards the port road.

The YSRCP Government sanctioned Rs. 80 lakh across the state for the minority brothers for the Iftar dinner event.
