On the 30th of September, the Andhra Pradesh High Court (HC) issued a notice to Atchannaidu Kinjarapu, a member of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP.)
According to the notice, Kinjarapu, the Member of the Legislative Assembly of Tekkali, was asked to answer a notice on the 17th of October.
Perada Tilak, a member of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) filed Election Petition No. 6 against Atchannaidu in the High Court. In the petition, Perada demanded the disqualification of Atchannaidu Kinjarapu as the MLA of Tekkali.
The YSRCP leader said Atchannaidu did not mention the criminal cases registered against him while filing nominations as the MLA candidate from the Tekkali constituency.
After reviewing the petition, the HC issued a notice to Kinjarapu. The HC also asked the returning officer of Tekkali to appear for the hearing on the 17th of October.
The HC will review the matter in the next hearing on the 17th of October.
