AP HC Suspends SEC’s Order On Ration Delivery Of YSRCP Government

On the 15th of February, the Andhra Pradesh High Court (HC) dismissed the suspension of the State Election Commissioner (SEC) on ration delivery and change its vehicle color.

Recently, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government started rice door delivery to the people of Andhra Pradesh.

With the decision of the Andhra Pradesh HC, the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led YSRCP Government got a big relief.

The Court of law said that the interim orders will remain in effect until the 15th of March.

The issue of ration door delivery vehicles has come under scrutiny as the Election Code is in force across the State.

The State Election Commissioner (SEC) Nimmagadda Ramesh who inspected these vehicles ordered to change the colours of vehicles.

The Jagan Mohan Reddy Government has challenged the SEC decision in the High Court to which the Court, which heard the petition and stayed the SEC orders.

The Andhra Pradesh High Court earlier has directed that the SEC tool the call on the implementation of ration door delivery scheme amid Panchayat election code in the State.

On the orders of the High court, the SEC Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar inspected the door delivery vehicles and ordered to change the colours.

The Government has said that it would take three months for the change of colours. However, the court has issued stay orders on the SEC’s decision to stop the ration door delivery scheme.
