On Monday, the 24th of May, the bail procedure of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRC) Member of the Parliament (MP) Raghurama Krishna Raju got delayed.

After the Supreme Court (SC) appoved the bail plea of the YSRCP MP Raghurama Krishna Raju on the 22nd of May, he was schedule to be released by today.  However, the the release was delayed considering his health conditions. According to sources, the Guntur District Court Magistrate inquired about the health condition of Raghurama Krishna Raju at the Secunderabad Army Hospital and discharge summary. On the request, the Army Hospital authority said he is under observation and needed four more days to recover and receive treatment.

After the assured recovery and treatment Raghurama is likely to be released soon after the doctors give their final report.

Despite the Supreme Court granting bail to the MP on the 21st of this month, the case is pending in the trial court in Guntur and he is yet to be released as he is a remand prisoner.

On the 21st of May, the Supreme Court (SC) granted bail to the Member of Parliament (MP) of Andhra Pradesh Raghurama krishna Raju.

The MP was arrested in a sedition case on the 14th of May. Mr. Raghurama Krishna Raju called out to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and demanded a cancellation of bail against the YSRCP Chief Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy. Mr. Raju was arrested from his residence in Hyderabad for allegedly acting in a way detrimental to the prestige of the State Government. He was registered under Sections 124A (sedition,) 153A (Promoting enmity between different groups) and 505 (conducting public mischief) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC.)

He appealed for bail in the Supreme Court, after being rejected from the Andhra Pradesh High Court. On the 17th of May, the Supreme Court heard the bail plea of Mr. Raghurama Krishna Raju and ordered a fresh medical examination. At the last hearing, held on the 21st of May, the SC granted the YSRCP MP the bail and ordered his release.
