Andhra Pradesh continues to register a hike in COVID-19 cases with 13,475 new cases, on January 27. Besides new cases, the State Health Department confirmed 10,290 discharges and 9 deceased cases in 24 hours. With this, the State currently has 1,09,493 active cases, 14,579 deceased cases, and 21,09,080 recovered cases to date.
Kadapa district on Thursday reported 2,031, Kurnool 1,835, Visakhapatnam 1,349, Guntur 1,342, Prakasam 1,259, East Godavari 1,066 and SPS Nellore 1,007 fresh cases.The remaining six districts added less than 1,000 new cases each.
Visakhapatnam reported three, Anantapuramu two, Chittoor, SPS Nellore, Prakasam and Vizianagaram one fresh Covid-19 fatality each in a day.
Notably, AP is one of the southern states, contributing hike in cases, after Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
