In a shocking incident, an Andhra Pradesh school teacher allegedly made a fifth standard student sit in a dustbin.
On the 21st of October, Alvin Baba, a teacher at Madhya Group Zila Parishad (ZP) High School, asked Geddam Rajamouli, a student of the 5th standard to sit in a dustbin for around 40 minutes. The bizarre punishment was given to Rajamouli citing that he was not following discipline. The incident took place in Antarvedipalem, Sakinetipalli Mandal, Andhra Pradesh.
According to sources, after 40 minutes, the teacher even asked the other students to remove the lid of the dustbin and check whether Geddam Rajamouli is dead or alive. The incident gained a lot of criticism and backlash from the citizens of Andhra Pradesh, Student union leaders and local politicians.
In Antarvedipalem, Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders and others even staged a protest on the school premises and demanded strict action against Alvin Baba, the teacher.
