The Andhra Pradesh Winter Assembly Session is scheduled to begin on the 15th of September.
As per sources, Mr. Biswabushan Harichandan, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) issued notifications to this effect on Friday, the 9th of September. In addition, the end date of the Winter Assembly session would be decided by the Business Advisory Committee (BAC.)
After the commencement of the session, the BAC would hold a meeting and decide the schedule and working days of the Winter Assembly Session.
Notably, the announcement of the Assembly session came days after the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) held a Cabinet meeting chaired by Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
During the Cabinet meeting, the YSRCP Ministers discussed various issues and took many key decisions. Some of them include giving approval for the investment proposals of the Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) worth Rs. 1,26,748 crore and the transfer of Rs. 4,700 crore to the beneficiaries of the YSR Cheyutha scheme. The meeting also discussed the Jal Jeevan Mission and other development projects.
During the upcoming Assembly session, the Andhra Pradesh Government is likely to propose the discussions and nod given to schemes and projects.
