In Andhra Pradesh’s Komarada Mandal, a woman was allegedly tied with a temple pillar and was harassed by locals over a chit fund scam.

On the 4th of June, a shocking incident was reported in Savini Village of Komarada Mandal.  The locals allegedly tied up a woman, who used to run a chit fund scam and looted around Rs.1.5 crores from the people.

Getting into the details, the accused woman identified as Sobha was running a local chit fund business.  In this business, Sobha took a loan amount of  Rs.1.5 crores from the locals by offering huge interest than the banks.  Initially, she used to pay the high interest and attracted the other lenders to give more funds, but soon she failed to pay the interest money and duped people.  Fed up with not getting back their invested money and loan interest, the locals tied the accused in the center of the village and interrogated her with insults.

Soon, the local police rushed to the spot and controlled the situation.  Mr. K. Prayoga Murthy, the sub-inspector of Komarada rushed to the spot and took the accused, Sobha into custody.

The police also registered a case and launched an investigation.
