Varla Ramaiah, the Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC,) on the 26th of October, resigned from his post.
Mr. Ramaiah, a senior leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) resigned as the Chairman of the APSRTC and submitted his resignation letter to the Principal Secretary of the Transport Department.
The reason behind his resignation is yet to be ascertained. However, it is reported Ramaiah’s resignation came after several cases were lodged against him.
The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) registered several cases against TDP member Varla Ramaiah, due to which he submitted his resignation.
Varla Ramaiah was appointed as the Chairman of the APSRTC on the 2nd of May 2018.
