In Visakhapatnam, an international human trafficking racket has been busted by the City police, on the 4th of May, Wednesday.
Getting into the details, in the human trafficking case, the police arrested two persons and rescued a woman, 22 years old, who is a native of Bangladesh. Mr. Sumit Sunil, the Deputy Commissioner of Visakhapatnam Police said, Beesetti Dhanalakshmi, a 37 year old was running a brothel house in the water tank area near Pendurthi, Visakhapatnam took the women for work at the brothel. She used to run the brothel was running with her two friends, Nupur alias Aadi and Papiya alias Pappy.
Notably, the victim, a Bangladeshi woman, came to Kolkata 12 years ago and met a man identified as Muneer. He promised her to provide an Indian visa and documents. Recently, after a wait of 10 years, Muneer got Beesetti fake documents and sent her to Visakhapatnam, where the woman was forcefully turned into a sex worker.
The Bangladesh woman requested Dhanalakshmi to send her back to her country where her brother Rahman fell sick, but when denied, she spoke to her brother, who later alerted the Kolkata Police. Soon the matter came under the Visakhapatnam Police, as the woman was in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
After a detailed investigation, the Visakhapatnam Police arrested Beesetti Dhanalakshmi and rescued the Bangladeshi Woman.
