Chandrababu Naidu, the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) on the 20th of September, conducted a press meet regarding the Polavaram Irrigation Project.
The press meet was scheduled in Undavalli, Andhra Pradesh. During the press meet, Naidu alleged the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) took the decision about the reverse tendering of the Polavaram Project contracts for its benefit. The TDP President said the YSRCP Government introduced the reverse tendering without any discussions with the members of the Party.
Naidu further said Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) without any discussions, is approving contractors who are related to the YSRCP in some way.
Addressing the media, Naidu said Jagan is taking decisions based on the reports submitted by his relative Peter, without taking any suggestions from the AP Government officials.
Naidu concluded his press meet by expressing concern about the Polavaram Project, which is expected to solve the water crisis in AP.
