Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) on the 21st of September, got a notice to vacate his Lingamaneni guest house, where he stays with his family.
The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development of Authority (APCRDA) officials issued the notice and asked Mr. Naidu to vacate his house within a week.
The CRDA officials said the construction of the ground floor, 1st floor, dressing room and swimming pool is not according to the norms and guidelines of the APCRDA and is illegal.
The notice addressed to Chandrababu Naidu was issued under the name of Lingamaneni Ramesh, who gifted the residence to Naidu. Since Mr. Ramesh was the main recipient of the notice, he responded to it and said the construction was done with the permission of the Undavalli Panchayat, as back then, there was no CRDA department in Andhra Pradesh.
Ramesh also said the River Conservator at the time allowed the construction of the swimming pool, which is now said to be against the norms of the CRDA.
This is not the first time the State Government and the CRDA officials asked Naidu to vacate the Lingamaneni guest house. On the 7th of July, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government issued a notice to Naidu and ordered him to vacate his residence on moral grounds.
Chandrababu Naidu did not respond to the CRDA notice yet.
