Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) on the 30th of October, lashed out at the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)
Mr. Naidu took to Twitter and criticised the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led YSRCP for disrespecting the National Flag in Amarapuram Mandal of Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh.
On the 30th of October, a video came into the limelight. In the video, a worker was seen painting over a wall which otherwise had the National Flag painted on it. The person was seen painting the wall blue, which is the colour of the YSRCP.
Chandrababu Naidu criticised the YSRCP and said, “I have never seen our National Tricolour being utterly disrespected like this! @ysjagan’s Government must apologise for this shocking, abominable act of replacing tricolour with YSRC party colours.”

Nara Lokesh, the Working President of the TDP, also took to Twitter and posted the video. He said, “This is the patriotism of YSRCP leaders. This is their respect for the national flag. How shamelessly they are painting national flag with YSRCP flag colours. Tomorrow they may unfurl YSRCP flag in place of the national flag. YS Jagan Ji, you are not leaving even graveyards, at least respect the national flag.”

Lanka Dinakar, the Spokesperson of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) also targeted the YSRCP for the act. Mr. Dinakar addressed ANI and said, “So far, we have seen the YSRCP colours painted on buildings, schools, graveyards, village secretariats. It is the first time we have seen that they are not hesitating to change the colours of the national flag that existed on a government structure. These regional parties of dynasty nature have no national interest, nor any respect for colours of the flag. It gets proved after observing the incident of changing the colours of a building that has national flag colours, with their party colours.”
