The 2022 Commonwealth Games is set to witness power-packed events on day 6, the 3rd of August, in Birmingham, England, the United Kingdom (U.K.)

After winning the historic gold medal in Lawn Bowls and men’s table tennis, India is now eying weightlifting, para table tennis, and other events lined up for the day.  In addition, men’s judo, women’s judo, and other categories of sports events are on the schedule of the Commonwealth Games 2022, Day 6.

Notably, in the men’s weightlifting, Lovepreet Singh won a bronze medal. India’s Lovepreet Singh has won the CWG 2022 bronze medal by lifting a total of 355kg – 163kg in snatch, and 192kg in clean and jerk. There were a few nervous moments when Australia’s Jackson Roberts-Young went for a massive increase in weight and attempted 211 in his third and final attempt of the round but it was unsuccessful in confirming the bronze for Lovepreet. India’s medal tally is now 13 – five gold, four silver, and four bronze.

The events at Birmingham started at 1:00 pm.

The 2022 Commonwealth Games started on July 28 and will continue till August 8.
