In the Delhi Liquor scam, the Delhi High Court vacation bench has granted interim bail to Magunta Raghavareddy.
According to the sources, Raghavareddy, the son of Ongole MP Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy, has been granted bail for 15 days to attend to his grandmother, who recently suffered a nasal injury. It is learnt that Raghavareddy was taken into custody on February 11, 2023, following his involvement in a money laundering case linked to the Excise policy scam, as registered by the ED.
During the court proceedings, senior advocate Vikas Pashwa represented Raghavareddy and pleaded for an interim bail of six weeks, citing the need to care for his 83-year-old grandmother, who is currently receiving treatment in the ICU after a bathroom slip incident. Taking note of the circumstances, Justice Chandra Dhari Singh granted interim bail for 15 days.
