Devineni Avinash, a former member of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP,) on the 14th of November, joined the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)
Mr. Avinash, after resigning from the TDP, immediately joined the YSRCP at an event in Andhra Pradesh. During the event, YSRCP leaders, Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) and Member of Parliament (MPs) were present.
Devineni joined the YSRCP in the presence of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
Speculations about Avinash joining the YSRCP came after he resigned from the TDP and met Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. Avinash was accompanied by Kaiyala Buchi Babu during the meeting.
Avinash is the second TDP leader who quit the Party in November. On the 4th of November, Motkupalli Narsimhulu resigned from the TDP and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.)
Devineni Avinash quitting the TDP is a major drawback for the Nara Chandrababu Naidu led Party. The decision of Avinash is said to have come after the TDP lost its credibility and power in Andhra Pradesh.
