On the 24th of October, the JanaSena Party had another drawback after one more member of the Party shifted his loyalty to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.)
Dharanikota Venkataramana, a member of the JanaSena Party, resigned from the Party and joined the BJP.
The reason behind his resignation is the defeat of JanaSena Party in the 2019 Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh (AP.)
According to sources, after its bad performance in the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, the JanaSena Party lost its credibility in the State. Many JanaSena leaders are switching parties to make sure their political careers do not come to an end.
Dharanikota Venkataramana was one of the major leaders of the JanaSena Party. He recently met Sujana Chaudhary, a leader of the BJP in AP and expressed his desire to join the BJP. Venkataramana said he liked the policies of the BJP, due to which he wishes to join the Party.
After the BJP gave a green signal to Venkataramana, he joined the Party in the presence of K. Laxminarayana, the President of the BJP in AP.
