In Andhra Pradesh’s East Godavari district, a goods train derailed near the Rajahmundry region, on the morning of the 9th of November, Wednesday.
According to the officials, the goods train which was going from Visakhapatnam to Vijayawada derailed near Balaji Peta. No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident. Due to the incident, all the other trains on the route of Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada were halted for the day. The incident occurred around 3:00 A.M., on Wednesday.
Amid the goods train accident, Kakinada Lingampally Special Train also stopped at Atthili Railway Station, leaving passengers in difficulties.
Railway officials said the trains would resume services after clearing the derailed goods train on the tracks. It is to be noted, approximately nine train, enroute between Visakhapatnam and Guntur were cancelled on the 9th of November, Wednesday.
As of now, relief measures are underway in the Rajahmundry region, in Andhra Pradesh.
