Mr. Pawan Kalyan, the President of the JanaSena Party, met with Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the National President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Hyderabad.

The meeting scheduled on the 8th of January, Sunday was held at the Jubilee Hills residence of Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu.  During the meeting, the two leaders discussed the Government Order 1, restricting public rallies and meetings imposed by the ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government along with other issues.  It is to be noted, on the 2nd of January, the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led YSRCP Government imposed GO 1, restricting any public meetings and rallies in the State, citing the safety of the people.  The GO 1 has not only disturbed the opposition parties but has become a hurdle for several public meetings and tours planned by the TDP and the JanaSena Party in the future.  In regard to this, Mr. Pawan Kalyan and Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu is expected to knock the door of the High Court and file a lawsuit against the orders.

The meeting between the leaders of the two oppositions of the YSRCP held significant importance, suspecting an alliance of the TDP and the JanaSena Party in Andhra Pradesh.

According to sources, Mr. Pawan Kalyan called on Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu to discuss an alliance, in order to not get split votes for the 2024 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections.

It is to be noted, after October 2021, Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu and Mr. Pawan Kalyan held a meeting and discussed politics, officially.  Notably, since 2018, the Nara Chandrababu Naidu led TDP has gone solo in the Telugu State of Andhra Pradesh against the YSRCP Government, whereas the Pawan Kalyan led JanaSena Party formed an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP.)

However, this time, the two regional political parties might join hands and fight against the YSRCP in the 2024 Assembly elections together.
