The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD,) once again issued rain alerts for the Telugu State of Telangana.

According to the Hyderabad Weather Department and IMD, the State is to witness moderate to heavy rainfall for the next 48 hours, till the 31st of October.

The major reason behind the sudden rain alert is due to the low pressure being developed in the Bay of Bengal. The pressure, which is 1,500 kilometres from sea level, is expected to bring gutsy winds and rainfall up to the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh and neighbouring state, Telangana. It is to be noted, in the past 24 hours, Arli in Adilabad district has recorded the lowest temperature of 14.7 degree Celsius.

In addition, the IMD also issued rain alerts for Andhra Pradesh and Kerala till the 1st of November. While Orange alert has been issued for Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, a yellow alert was issued for Kerala.

People in the southern states are advised not to venture out unnecessarily and fishermen were also advised to avoid going to sea coast areas.
