Another development in travel facilities has been witnessed in the Telugu State of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.)
According to sources, from the 1st of February, Tuesday, IndiGo Airlines services company is to begin flights from YSR Kadapa. The flight services would be between YSR Kadala to Vijayawada and Chennai. IndiGo airlines signed an agreement with the AP Airports Development Corporation Limited (APDCL) to operate Indigo flights. Previously, TruJet was operating flight services to the aforementioned routes. However, the airline terminated its contract, following which Indigo got the chance to operate the flights.
To function the services, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government would pay Rs. 20 crore. The amount would be paid under the Viability Gap Fund (VGF.)
The Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy Government issued orders in regard to this, on the 31st of January, Monday.
As per schedule and signed agreement, IndiGo would operate 4 flights a week between Chennai-Kadapa and Vijayawada-Kadapa.
The flight services would begin from the 27th of March 2022.
