Jawahar Reddy Takes Charge As TTD EO

K.S. Jawahar Reddy, on the 10th of October, took over as the new Executive Officer of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD.)

Mr. Jawahar Reddy replaced Anil Kumar Singhal, whose term as the TTD EO ended on the 2nd of October. The appointment of Mr. Reddy was confirmed on the 1st of October, but he took charge of the office as the EO today.

However, an official notification by the Andhra Pradesh Government was issued on the night of the 7th of October.

Neelam Sawhney, the Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh issued the official Government Order regarding Mr. Reddy’s appointment.

K. Jawahar Reddy was the Special Principal Secretary, State Medical, Health and Family Welfare.

Anil Kumar Singhal, the TTD EO is also a 1993 batch Indian Administration Service (IAS.) He is also the first North Indian IAS officer to be the EO of the TTD.

Mr. Singhal was appointed in May 2017, by the then ruling Government, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP.)

Despite the term of the previous government ended in 2018, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP,) the ruling Government of A.P., extended Mr. Singhal’s term till date.

However, the extended appointment of Anil Kumar Singhal as TTD EO was criticised recently, following which the YSRCP Government appointed Mr. Reddy.

After Mr. Anil Kumar Submitted his declaration to resign over the post, the YSRCP Government appointed K. Jawahar Reddy.

Till the 9th of October, Additional EO Dharma Reddy presided as the TTD EO.

The low key event of Mr. Jawahar Reddy taking over the charge of office was attended by a few YSRCP leaders and Mr. Reddy’s family members.
