The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) and Andhra University (AU) on the 27th of September, announced to cancel all scheduled exams.

Similarly, the Andhra University of Visakhapatnam also postponed exams scheduled today, the 27th of September. The decision to do so was taken by the educational authorities in the wake of the issued Rain alerts in the Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

It is to be noted, on the 27th of September, exams of B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology,) B.Pharm (Bachelor of Pharmacy) and Pharm. D (Doctor of Pharmacy) was scheduled on Monday. However, considering the bad weather and requests of rural colleges principals, the exams for today postponed and a new revised date of the postponed exam would be announced later.

In regard to this, Dr. M. Manzoor Hussain, the Registrar of the JNTUH, issued a circular. The circular read, “Principals of all the constituent and affiliated colleges of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad offering Undergraduate & Post Courses are informed to note that in view of bad weather conditions and heavy rains and also considering the requests received from various rural college Principals, the B.Tech/B.Pharm./Pharm.D/Pharm.D(PB) Regular and Supplementary Examinations of the University scheduled on September 27 have been postponed and the rescheduled date will be announced soon”.

However, the JNTUH exams scheduled on the 28th September and onwards would be conducted as per scheduled, uninterrupted.

Exams to be held by Andhra University are scheduled to begin from the 6th of October, for different graduate and undergraduate degrees.

In addition, due to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued rain alerts, the Andhra Pradesh Government declared a holiday for all schools, education institutions and colleges.
