Mangalagiri: Controversial Telugu Desam leader and former MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar is likely to contest again from Denduluru assembly constituency. Sources said that Chintamaneni is likely to get a ticket in the second list of candidates to be declared on Thursday.
Chintamaneni Prabhakar is known for controversies. He was booked in several cases and was imprisoned for months together. He expected the seat in the first list and got disappointed after his name was missing. Controversies like attack on Vanajakshi, abusing dalits marred the image of Prabhakar locally, which lead to the defeat in 2019 elections.
Ruling party’s social media trolled Chintamaneni and alleged that Naidu is going to reject the ticket to Chintamaneni. After doing intense exercise Naidu had finalized the name of Prabhakar on Wednesday. Naidu personally called Prabhakar and informed the news. He said that Naidu assured a good position if he wins the elections.
