Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the National President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) visited the families of those who died in the stampede in Kandukuru of Nellore district.

On the 29th of December, Thursday, Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu met with the family and  assured that TDP will stand by the families of the deceased.  He further clarified that the responsibility of educating the children of the deceased will be taken up by TDP.

Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu announced that financial assistance of Rs. 24 lakhs will be given to the families of the deceased on behalf of the party and TDP leaders.

Responding to the allegations Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu denied the allegations saying that they have not held in narrow roads and opined that they have set up the meeting at the place where other political parties have set up.

Mr. Nara Chandrababu said that he is leaving the allegations to the wisdom of those who criticized him.

It is to be noted, on the 28th of December, Wednesday, 8 people, lost their lives due to a stampede in Kandukur, Nellore.   The incident occurred during the road show of Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the National President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the Kandukur region of Nellore district.  The eight deceased were said to be TDP workers, who were present to attend the meeting and died due to suffocation and shock amid the stampede.

Besides eight people’s death, many people were left injured due to the heavy rush of people who gathered to attend the roadshow on Wednesday night.
