Vijayawada: Telugu Desam General Secretary Nara Lokesh requested AP Governor Abdul Nazeer to initiate action against the YSRCP government for harassing the opposition parties in the name of cases.
Nara Lokesh along with a team of representatives including AP TDP President Atcha
nnaidu submitted a memorandum to the governor and explained the situation after the arrest of TDP supremo Naidu and a series of cases filed against him.
Lokesh addressing media at Raj Bhavan said that the state government is harassing the leaders of opposition parties for questioning their failures and anti-people policies.
“Jagan Mohan Reddy is more focused on harassing opposition leaders than administration of the state. Our leaders were booked under various cases for no reason. Dhulipalla Narendra and Kollu Ravindra spent months in jail. Altogether 260 cases were filed against our senior leaders. More than 60,000 TDP followers are booked under various cases. Fundamental rights were violated and we were not permitted to protest peacefully,” Lokesh said.
We have explained everything to the governor and asked him to protect democracy in the state. Lokesh alleged that AP will become another Bihar if these atrocities continue.
