Vijayawada: The mystery surrounding Pastor Praveen Kumar’s three-hour absence in Vijayawada before his death in Rajamahendravaram has been solved. Police investigations confirmed that Praveen, who traveled from Hyderabad on a Bullet bike, took a break in Vijayawada due to exhaustion.
According to CCTV footage, Praveen reached Vijayawada at 5 PM on March 24 and was last seen crossing Enikepadu at 8:45 PM, leaving authorities puzzled about his whereabouts during that period.
Police reviewed 200 CCTV cameras from Mahanadu Junction to Enikepadu and discovered that Praveen’s bike had suffered minor damage near Gollapudi before entering Vijayawada. He was recorded refueling at a petrol station in Gollapudi at 4:45 PM and later stopped near Ramavarappadu ring road, visibly fatigued.
A traffic officer, SI Subbarao, noticed him sitting beside his bike and offered him water before guiding him to a nearby park. Praveen rested there from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM before resuming his journey. His helmet protected him from injuries despite the accident.
Authorities have now pieced together his movements, eliminating speculation regarding his time in Vijayawada before reaching Rajamahendravaram.
