On the 4th of April, Monday, Mr. Pawan Kalyan, Chief of the JanaSena Party, expressed displeasure about the new district formation in Andhra Pradesh.
On Mondal, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) officially announced new district, taking the overall districts in the State to 26. However, the development came as a disappointment for the JanaSena Party. Mr. Pawan Kalyan alleged that the districts in the State were divided without considering public opinion and the YSRCP did not even conduct a study on the areas. Taking to Twitter and said, “With the division of districts, the tribals of the flood zones will face difficulties; they will have to travel a long distance to reach the district center.” He further said, “The rulers moved forward as per their perception without considering and valuing public opinion in the process of reorganisation of districts in the state. This bifurcation is lopsided.’’ Furthermore, highlighting the district headquarter issue of the newly formed districts, Mr. Pawan Kalyan said, “People of Etapaka and Kukunuru mandals have to travel at least 300 km to reach the district headquarters. That means it will take at least 2-3 days to meet the officers at the district headquarters for the common people and the poor girijans.”
The actor turned politician highlighted Kakinada situation, which was the centre and faced a similar situation, due to the district division, which is still to be resolved. Mr. Kalyan criticized the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy Government for ignoring the tribals’ view that Rampachodavaram should be the district headquarters. In addition, Mr. Pawan Kalyan extended support to farmers and people of Andhra Pradesh, who are willing to protest against the YSRCP Government.
