R.K. Roja, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Nagari, on the 26th of September, laid the foundation for a unit of an international manufacturing company, TCL, in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh (AP.)
TCL, a China based company founded in 1981, will soon have branches in Andhra Pradesh, which will provide jobs to the unemployed youth in AP. As of now, the Company is present in several countries and has 22 industrial units, 28 research centres and approximately 75,000 employees.
During the event, Chinese delegates of TCL, officials of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) and other officials of the district were present.
Ms. Roja said, “TCL, the world renowned company, has come forward to set up two companies in Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh with Rs. 2,200 crore.”
R.K. Roja appreciated the YSRCP Government and said after the formation of the new Government, this is the first foreign company to set up their branch in the State. Ms. Roja said, “The YSRCP government is committed to ushering in industrial revolution in the State and generate employment in a big way.”
During the election campaigns, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) promised a few things to the people of AP and employment to the youth of AP was one of them.
With the setting up of the new Company, the unemployed youth in Andhra Pradesh will get job opportunities. TCL will directly generate approximately 4,442 jobs in the region, out of which, 75 % of the jobs would be reserved for the locals.
