On the 31st of December, Saturday, the officials in Kiev, Ukraine claimed that Russia attacked Ukraine with 16 Iran made drones.
According to the officials, the attack came just a day after Moscow struck cities across the war torn nation with the latest barrage of missiles. It is to be noted, Russia invasion of Ukraine turning the two regions a war zone started on the 24th of February 2022, and is still continuing, making the life of Ukrainians difficult.
Speaking of the recent missile attack, the Ukrainian Military said that all of Friday’s drones were destroyed. In Kiev, an air alert was announced after 2:00 A.M., on Friday, the 30th of September, following which the residents were urged to take shelter.
As per Ukraine Military officials, five of the drones were shot down in the air and two on approach. According to the Air Force, the attack came from various directions with air and sea based cruise missiles. In the attack, three people were killed and six were left injured.
Meanwhile, it is to be noted that the Russian Government rejected the suggestion of Ukraine regarding the peace talks in 2023.
